Releases, API changes, AI features, deals and analyst reports — checked against the primary source every week.
Highlights
This was a quiet window. Henry Stewart DAM New York (Oct 1–2) produced no product announcements that could be verified. Adobe's new ChatGPT plugin, CX Enterprise Coworker, lets users search approved AEM assets from inside ChatGPT and create Workfront projects there. Orange Logic previewed Orange Builder, an AI site builder that draws its assets from Orange DAM. Sitecore shipped Content Hub fixes and a database network upgrade that it says cuts graph rebuild time by up to 50%. The 2026-10-08 update adds a Sitecore security setting from the same release. Content Hub admins can now sanitise comment HTML, and the rule also applies to comments sent through the API. The setting is opt-in. Nothing new was found for 2026-10-06 → 2026-10-08, which fell during MediaValet's DAM Week. No API change, deprecation, M&A or funding item was found in the period.
Adobe brings AEM Assets search and Workfront project creation into ChatGPT (catch-up)
Adobe expanded its partnership with OpenAI with CX Enterprise Coworker, a plugin available in ChatGPT. Users can search Adobe Experience Manager assets in natural language, check them against brand and compliance requirements, and create Workfront projects with templates, budgets and approval workflows. Adobe also said Workfront's integration with OpenAI's Agents API launches in October 2026, adding ChatGPT agents as "AI Collaborators" for asset QA, copywriting and localisation. Completed work comes back to Workfront for human review.
Why it mattersAEM Assets is now reachable from a third-party AI assistant through a vendor-built plugin. Admins should check which asset permissions and governance rules apply when assets are found from ChatGPT.
Orange Logic previews Orange Builder, an AI site builder fed by Orange DAM (catch-up)
At its Orange Logic Summit in New York, Orange Logic previewed Orange Builder. The tool builds brand and guideline sites, press and partner portals, and campaign microsites from a Figma file, PDF, brief, sketch or text prompt. It applies brand guidelines and pulls approved assets from Orange DAM, so those assets stay linked to their governed source. Agents build layouts and components and check how the pages render on desktop, tablet and mobile. Access is through an early-access programme for selected customers, and no pricing has been published.
Why it mattersBrand portals and microsites can now be built on top of the DAM without copying assets out of it. Teams that run separate brand-portal tools should watch how Orange Builder handles asset links and permissions once it is generally available.
Sitecore Content Hub: database network upgrade (graph rebuilds up to 50% faster) and two fixes
Sitecore upgraded the network infrastructure of Content Hub's main database to improve connectivity and resilience. It reports that heavy operations such as graph rebuilds now take up to 50% less time, depending on the workload, and no customer action is required. The same day's resolved issues fix Knockout-based search components that ignored horizontal facet orientation (MONE-62971). The "Share via assets" operation is also now hidden from users who lack permission to share the original file (MONE-38560).
Why it mattersAdmins who schedule graph rebuilds or large schema changes may see shorter maintenance windows. The sharing fix closes a UI path that did not match file-level permissions.
Sitecore Content Hub adds opt-in comment HTML sanitisation and bulk guarded transitions
Sitecore added an optional CommentHtmlSanitization setting to PortalConfiguration to guard comment fields against HTML injection and data exfiltration. When it is enabled, admins choose which HTML tags, attributes and CSS properties comments may contain, and which hosts images can load from. The rule also applies to comments sent through direct API calls. The same release lets the Selection component run guarded state-flow transitions in bulk, such as approving, rejecting or overriding several entities at once, subject to permissions.
Why it mattersThe setting is off by default, so tenants only get the protection if an admin enables it. Integrations that post rich-text comments through the API should be tested against the allowlist before it is switched on.
DoiT Cloud Intelligence adds Cloudinary cost tracking in US dollars
DoiT, a cloud cost management vendor, added Cloudinary to its Cloud Intelligence product. It pulls daily usage per Cloudinary product environment and splits it into transformations, bandwidth, storage, impressions and video seconds. Each credit is then priced in US dollars, using contracted rates where they apply. Production and staging environments can be connected separately, and Cloudinary spend can use the same budgets, alerts and anomaly detection as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.
Why it mattersCloudinary's credit-based billing is hard to forecast, and this third-party integration makes per-environment media costs visible in FinOps tooling. This is DoiT's announcement, not Cloudinary's.
Short period: this issue covers 2026-10-02 → 2026-10-08, the days since the W40 digest. It was first written on 2026-10-05 and updated on 2026-10-08. Two items dated 2026-09-29 (Adobe) and 2026-09-30 (Orange Logic) were published after the W40 research and were not covered there. They are included here and marked as catch-up. The 2026-10-08 update found nothing new dated 2026-10-06 → 2026-10-08. It adds one Sitecore item dated 2026-10-02 that the first pass missed.

Update of 2026-10-08 (period 2026-10-06 → 2026-10-08):
Keepeek: Blog re-checked. The newest post is still dated 2026-08-11.
Aprimo: Newsroom re-checked. The newest item is still CPM (2026-09-22).

Canto: Web search found nothing. releases.canto.com still returns 403, and the old /press/ URL now returns 404.
Brandfolder: The Smartsheet developer changelog's latest entry is dated 2025-11-24. No news was found.
Bynder: Press page (latest 2026-07-28) and API changelog 2026 (latest September 2026: MCP server docs) re-checked. The support article "Upload API Response Changes (Q3–Q4 2026)" still returns 403 Unverified. Search snippets now give more detail. The upload response would return a Bynder-hosted gateway URL (/api/1/boss/v4upload/) instead of a raw AWS S3 bucket URL. Several S3-derived values (bucket, key, location, originalFileS3location) should no longer be used to build URLs. Chunk uploads may be slower, and the upload calls themselves stay the same. The article's date and rollout date are unknown. This is likely an api-change and should be reported once the primary page can be opened.
Adobe Experience Manager Assets: Release notes re-checked (page updated 2026-10-06). The current release is still 2026.9.0, the next one (2026.10.0) is planned for 2026-10-29, and SDK support for the Java 25 runtime is expected in mid-October 2026. The deprecated/removed features page was last updated 2026-09-23. Adobe completed its Topaz Labs acquisition on 2026-09-23, which is outside the period and not DAM-specific.
Orange Logic: The press-release page's newest entry is dated 2026-09-22, and the developer changelog is still undated.
Wedia / Lyvio: The blog URL that was tried returned 404, and search found no news.
Frontify: Product news (news.frontify.com) checked. The latest roundup is "August 2026" (2026-09-02), and the September roundup has not been published yet.
Acquia DAM: Press releases have no dates. The release notes list the acquia_dam Drupal module 1.1.16 (2026-07-27) as their latest entry. Aggregated October updates (2026-10-01/02) are events only.
Cloudinary: Programmable Media release notes (latest 2026-08-31) and Assets release notes (latest 2026-08-24) re-checked. Nothing in the period.
MediaValet: The newsroom's latest item is Custom Homepage (2026-09-08). No announcement linked to DAM Week (2026-10-06 → 2026-10-08) was found.
Brandworkz: Nothing found.
IntelligenceBank: News page re-checked. The latest item is still dated 2026-08-24.
Portfolio DAM (Axle AI): Nothing found.
Hyland Nuxeo: Nothing found. The Hyland Connect Nuxeo blog returned 403, so the October 2026 customer newsletter (possible lifecycle deprecation) is still unverified Unverified.
OpenText DAM: blogs.opentext.com product-updates returned 403. Search found nothing in the period.
MediaBeacon: Nothing found.
Xinet: The support portal does not date its release notes, and search found nothing new.
Market: DAM News checked. The 2026-10-05 round-up links only to articles and guidance, and the 2026-10-06 and 2026-10-07 posts are a call for contributions and an event notice. CMSWire's DAM tag page has no dates. Wire searches for 2026-10-06 → 2026-10-08 found only crypto "digital assets" events. IPTC standards updates (latest 2026-07-02) and the C2PA site had nothing new. Searches for DAM M&A, funding, analyst reports (no 2026 Gartner DAM Magic Quadrant yet) and MCP launches found nothing dated in the period. Other DAM vendors checked (Censhare, Tenovos, Lytho, Air, Pics.io, Fotoware, ResourceSpace, Daminion, Papirfly) had nothing beyond blog posts.
