README — provenance

DAM Wiki downloaded these files on 2026-09-30 from public vendor URLs (no login needed). They are unmodified copies, exactly as the vendor serves them.

Important context. Wedia does not publish one static API spec: every Wedia server generates OpenAPI 3.0 documents from its own data model (resource types are created per project) and serves them at https://{tenant}/api/rest/doc/{dam|data|media|json}/swagger.json. The vendor documentation page "Redoc Swagger API Documentation" (https://crossmedia.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/WD/pages/1179123738) points readers without a server to Wedia's own demo server club-wed.wedia-group.com; the files below come from there. Resource names (e.g. pimasset, brandcenter, portal, some demo-only structures) are therefore specific to that demo configuration — the endpoint patterns, parameters and the long info.description guides are generic.

Notes

  • On the download day the demo server reported engine WEDIA 2026.4.0, plug-in 2026.4.0, API version 2.4 (GET/api/rest/config, public).
  • servers entries are absolute to the demo host (…/api/rest/dam, …/api/rest/data, …/api/media, …/api/json). No securitySchemes are declared; authentication is described in the Confluence docs.
  • The DAM spec's info.description (~62 KB) is the vendor's reference for the JSON Query language, error format, common parameters, HTTP method override headers and the image transform command set. Extract it with: python -c "import json;print(json.load(open('wedia_openapi_rest-dam.json',encoding='utf-8'))['info']['description'])".
  • Quick inventory: python -c "import json;s=json.load(open('wedia_openapi_rest-dam.json',encoding='utf-8'));[print(m.upper(),p) for p,o in s['paths'].items() for m in o if m in('get','post','put','patch','delete')]".
  • Rendered versions: append /swagger.ui (Swagger UI) or /swagger.redoc (ReDoc) to the doc URL, e.g. https://club-wed.wedia-group.com/api/rest/doc/dam/swagger.redoc.
  • Checked for personal data: only support@wedia-group.com and one sample address in an example body appear; no customer hostnames.
  • DAM Wiki refreshes these copies when the engine version returned by /api/rest/config changes year (e.g. 2027.x) or when apiversion moves past 2.4.

Not stored

  • Media Delivery / Transformation API spec (/api/wedia/dam/?export=swagger) — the vendor states it is not public; it redirects to login on the demo server.
