No public machine-readable spec storedREADME — provenance
Checked by DAM Wiki on 2026-10-29. DAM Wiki holds no spec file for Pimcore.
Pimcore publishes one machine-readable API description: the OpenAPI 3.1 file of the Studio Backend API, committed to its public GitHub repository. The file declares the Pimcore Open Core License (POCL) in info.license. POCL forbids publishing or redistributing the licensed software. DAM Wiki therefore links to the official file instead of mirroring it. The resource table in the API page was derived from the file as it stood on 2026-10-29.

Studio Backend API (docs.jsonopenapi.json, in pimcore/studio-ui-bundle, last changed 2026-10-21) | OpenAPI 3.1.0 (JSON), generated with swagger-php | info.version 2026.2 | https://github.com/pimcore/studio-ui-bundle/blob/HEAD/assets/build/api/docs.jsonopenapi.json | 1,444,608 B / 14ee31995c901a8f6eac667440d24743cc32c9c67271da19987e6574d1d35b3f |
Content of that file: 683 paths and 815 operations (406 GET, 225 POST, 91 DELETE, 85 PUT, 8 PATCH) in 66 tags. 377 operations belong to optional or Enterprise bundles (Portal Engine, Direct Edit, Datahub adapters, Copilot…). A single server / is declared, and no securitySchemes: the API uses the Studio session. Every installation also serves its own live copy at /pimcore-studio/api/docs/json, with Swagger UI at /pimcore-studio/api/docs.
Other API descriptions that exist only on a running instance, with no published file:
- Datahub GraphQL: the schema is generated for each endpoint configuration and exposed through introspection (on by default) and the built-in GraphQL Playground.
- Datahub Simple REST (Enterprise): Swagger UI at
/pimcore-datahub-webservices/simplerest/swagger. - MCP endpoints: tool lists are announced by each server at runtime.
No Postman collection is published: the .postman folder of pimcore/studio-backend-bundle only holds workspace pointers, and the bundle's Postman API tests are internal test fixtures that come with default local credentials.
DAM Wiki checks again at each Platform Version release (next expected: 2027.1), and if Pimcore publishes a specification under a licence that allows redistribution.
